A large loose carved shell cameo from the 1950s, judging from the neckline of the subject's dress.

She has a characterful face, full lips and an elaborate hairstyle.

The piece is well carved, in high relief with lots of detail.

The shell itself is a bit uneven (see photos) - I don't know how this would effect setting it.

It measures 4.5cm by 3.3cm and weighs 8.3g.
