Natural Raw Jade Ocean Tumbled Rock Stone from The Private Island Of Barbareta. (See photos for location)

Rounded and tumbled by the sea. Raw natural Jade rock from Jade beach on the private and secluded Caribbean island of Barbareta in the Bay Islands, only accessible by boat. Once populated by Paya Indians, they mined jade which they took in small boats to the mainland to trade. Jade Beach is a secluded destination on Barbareta Island that offers picturesque views and a vibrant coral reef with huge cliffs of jade. Not part jade, not a smattering of jade mixed with other stones and minerals, and not just some jade in them. They are jade, as are the rocks that have fallen below. It’s stunning. It’s jaw dropping. It seems unreal.

Some of these jade stones fall out of the cliff and back into the great ocean tumbler. Wave action smooths out the rough edges over thousands of years.

I personally swam to the secluded Jade beach and found this beauty.

Jade’s allure is rooted in its unique combination of physical beauty, cultural significance, and rarity, which together contribute to price tags that can become pretty substantial. The cultural significance of jade cannot be understated, particularly in China, where it has been revered for over 5,000 years. Esteemed as the “Stone of Heaven,” jade symbolizes purity, grace, and virtue, and is believed to possess protective and healing properties.

Chinese emperors, nobility, and scholars have cherished jade carvings, seals, and ornaments as symbols of status and power, while the common people have worn jade amulets for luck and protection. Beyond China, jade has held immense value in various ancient civilizations, such as the Mesoamerican cultures, which prized the gemstone for its beauty and spiritual significance.

Makes a special gift for any Jade enthusiast.
