USS Moray: this fine 311 foot fighting vessel was commissioned 26 Jan 1945 and ordered to the Pacific Theater, late in the war. The submarine made one war patrol off Japan and served as an aircraft lifeguard vessel. This submarine sank one small enemy ship, and survived the war to be laid-up and later to become an AGSS-300 in 1962. She was sunk as a target in 1970 off Southern California. Check out my other items!
