The head strap padding on the  headphones is deteriorating if u rub it up against something or scratch it with even a fingernail, it will rip the vinyl and expose the foam padding underneath. 

The headphones still work as they should. And come with all items needed to set up correctly,    the rechargable batteries may need to be replaced
