The Hood

vintage/antique ? old   BRASS SHEET   FIreplace Hood Outer Liner and Grill Front...

 16 x 11 inches  maybe 15 - 20  thou thick..maybe over 1/64th

The brass shroud once covered  a cast iron hood...the edges wrapping around the cast iron , which was beyond repair. The shroud is  thin brass sheet which was pressed into shape. Some of the bottom edge is missing due to heat/corrosion over the years.   

The fire grate front is aged  brass , looks like it was copper-plated..

 Grill Front

Brass, but looks 'copperised' ? 19 x 3.5 inches... 1/16 th inch thick . with solid half-round  beading  'bolted' along the top to give it rigidity..
