This is a beautiful English Georgian period brass trivet stand with hanging hooks.  The 13-1/4" tall stand, fashioned similar to a tripod table is comprised of the pierced top with 5 rim edge hanging hooks.  The rim edge measures approximately 8-1/4" in diameter, 8-7/8" including the original hooks.  The shaft of the trivet stand is spun brass.  The tripod base shows cabriole legs on a padded foot.  It is in absolutely beautiful estate condition with NO breaks, NO repairs, NO replacements, and NO restorations.  The shaft shows a minor lean and the pierced top shows a minor lean.  They lean subtly in opposite angles.  The underside shows an authentic, appropriately darker, unpolished patina.  The rest of the surface has been polished and could be brought up to a brighter polished surface if desired.  The piercework of the top is beautifully done in the Georgian taste.  Be sure to see our other listings for more early antiques from the same estate, as well as other antiques in various categories!

NOTE: For a more economic shipping rate, it will be shipped disassembled in the 3 parts, as shown in the close-up disassembled photo.  The shaft easily screws onto the tripod base and the top easily screws onto the top of the shaft.
