The latest 3D surround formats, Dolby Atmos® developed by Dolby Laboratories and DTS:X™ developed by DTS, are supported by the surround decoder. By supporting this technology, which can easily create a three-dimensional acoustic space by localizing or moving individual sounds to any position in the room, including overhead, you can enjoy the realistic sense of envelopment and movement talked about in the latest movies in your home theater room. Presence speakers can be selected from three patterns: "front height" (mounted on the wall above the front speakers), "overhead" (mounted on the ceiling), and "Dolby Enabled Speakers" (mounted on the ceiling), and in combination with the optional 11-channel MX-A5000 power amplifier, 5.1.2ch, 5.1.4ch The MX-A5000 can support four types of speaker configurations: 5.1.2ch, 5.1.4ch, 7.1.2ch, and 7.1.4ch.
New Cinema DSP HD³ that realizes playback crossed with 3D surround format for the first time ever
Cinema DSP HD³ (HD Cubic) is the pinnacle of 3D stereoscopic sound field creation, aiming for complete reproduction of spatial information including the height direction of the sound field by utilizing a maximum 11.2ch speaker configuration including front and rear presence speakers and an overwhelming information density far exceeding that of conventional cinema DSP. The CX-A5100 is the first ever to realize playback that combines a Cinema DSP HD³ surround program with a 3D surround format (Dolby Atmos®, etc.) by developing new sound field creation algorithms based on object-based audio and by increasing the speed and capacity of signal processing. The surround sound program includes the DSP HD³ surround sound program, which has been used in the DSP® surround sound system. The surround programs include a total of 34 full programs, including the Cinema DSP HD³ programs previously available only on the DSP-Z11 and CX-A5000. The vast potential of the latest 3D surround format is awakened by Yamaha's original sound field creation technology cultivated over many years, creating a sense of openness and reality to the extent that the speakers disappear. In addition, by creating a virtual presence speaker in the space, the system is equipped with the Virtual Presence Speaker function and Virtual Rear Presence Speaker function*, which allow users to enjoy Cinema DSP HD³ playback without the need for a presence speaker.
* Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X signals are not played back virtually.
