8 page programme, undated but from late 1930s.

The Unity Theatre was a theatre club which existed between 1936-1994, though the theatre building was destroyed by fire in 1975. It grew out of the Worker's Theatre Movement formed in the London's East End. It was an attempt to bring contemporary social and political issues to a working class udience. It used agitprop theatre techniques to hightlight the suffering caused by hunger and unemployment.

This play features Kenneth Kendal, who went on to become a newsreader for the BBC in the 1950s and 1960s.

The programme also contains two interesting Jewish adverts - first for the Jewish Clarion, a progressive Jewish monthly and secondly a journal called Labour Israel - a Socialist, Zionist monthly.
