Small tears, chipping, stains, and toning to covers, Corner wear, creasing, and toning to page ends. 588pp. Loosely laid into the first edition is a single sheet print out of a presentation schedule (date unknown) signed by Alex Haley, beside his name, in order of the schedule. Presentation/panel offers an invocation, welcoming, proclamations, and presentations from beloved Memphis city and county officials + others. Regarding Haley, his name follows a presentation by Dr. Willis Harrington, in which Haley was to respond to Dr. Harrington’s remarks, followed by the Black National Anthem, presented by Mrs. Ernestine Brown. The page is toned and folded in half, with creasing and wear to corners.
