Since entering the field of evangelism in March 1970, it has

been my great privilege to share in the ministry of the Victory

Trio of Kingsport, Tennessee. It has been a real experience

to have been in the Victory Baptist Church with the pastor,

Bro. Herman Anderson, and this trio. Each night was filled

with ecstasy as they gave Jesus Christ the pre-eminence in

their singing.

Although they are very capable and talented, this is not the

secret of their ability to bless the hearts of God’s people. To

me, it is their availability to the Holy Spirit, who works in and

through them to reflect the Savior to the waiting congregation.

Each member of the trio is a dedicated Christian and faithful

member of the Victory Baptist Church. Lucille Anderson is

the wife of Bro. Herman Anderson, and the mother of Linda,

the pianist, and Ricky, the bass player. She is the mother of

five children and a devoted companion to her husband.

Linda is a devoted young lady who loves to play and sing

for the Lord. Her unique style of playing and her unusual

voice make her a double blessing to everyone.

Then, of course, Ruth Bray adds that extra touch to make

the singing complete. Her willingness to let the Holy Spirit

use her as a vessel of honor brings spiritual showers to any

meeting.

To compliment the singing with back-up music is that added

touch of guitar. Lawrence Marlow, who plays the lead guitar,

is a fine Christian young man. Then, there is the newest

member of the Victory Trio, Ricky Anderson Ricky is eleven

years old and plays the bass guitar,

For these reasons, I am thrilled to write the introduction to

this album Not that I am an authority on gospel singing,

but a fellow pilgrim who longs to hear singing that ministers

to the people. So I recommend these friends to you.

Well, so much for the introduction. Now let’s listen as the

Victory Trio sings
