1. Sprinkle water on the soil to be measured to moisten it thoroughly. There should be enough moisture to hold it in your hands.

2. Insert into the soil so that all the electrodes on the metal part are buried.

3. After about 1 minute, when the value stabilizes, read it.

By inserting it directly into the soil, you can measure the approximate acidity of the soil (about pH 4 to pH 7).
