1950s Vintage grey knit dress w-belt & black fur trim and two pockets. Approximately a size Small, maybe a petite given length of top of dress.  See measurements below.

Near perfect condition.  No tears, holes, snags, stains or damage.  Hem and all seams are in excellent condition.  I don’t know where this dress has been, but it is virtually pristine and does NOT smell like mothballs (or anything else for that matter).  No underarm stains or any other indication of age/wear.

Big, full circle skirt, short sleeves with real fur trim that is very fluffy and soft. Belted with matching fabric belt.  It is below the knee with a sweetheart neckline and a side zipper from underarm to hip.

In back it is deep v with a cut out with a brooch that is missing one rhinestone. This is a dressy dress, and could be eveningwear because it is very special and the fur (and brooch) dress it up.  I do not think the brooch is original to the dress, it just pins on. Of course it could be worn without the brooch or with a different one.

Please note measurements, taken from front of garment lying flat.  Please also take time to take your own measurements, as this dress is an investment.

Waist - 13 1/2” (about 26”)
Underarm seam to Underarm seam (chest) - 18 1/2”
It doesn’t have a shoulder seam, but I estimate about 15”
Length (from waist to hem) - 30”
Length (from shoulder to waist) - 13”
Sleeve opening - 5 3/4”
Top of shoulder to underarm seam - 7 1/2” (see photo for exact location)

It is my idea of a perfect dress.  I have been a fan of vintage dresses for a long time, and I have never seen a dress in such good condition.  The fabric looks new, but from the manufacturing tag, it’s clearly vintage. I would give anything to be able to fit into it.

If you have other questions or need other photos please ask.  NOTE: I DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS so be sure to check your measurements and that of the dress.  Thank you for looking.
