This unique artist sketch (39 x 25 cm) has been hand signed by The Yardbirds on Wednesday 25 June 1967 in Adelaide prior to their concert at Centennial Hall, Wayville.

The original artist sketch has been personally hand signed by Keith Relf, Jim McCarty, Chris Dreja and Jimmy Page. The Yardbirds toured Australia in 1967 as a 4 piece with Jimmy Page playing lead.

The sketch is part of the acclaimed Jenny Lee Collection of sketches and signatures of musical acts visiting Adelaide in the 1960’s, 1970’s and 1980’s. In addition to being a highly accomplished artist, Jenny was a friend of the late SA concert promoter and radio announcer Bob Francis, responsible for bringing the Beatles to Australia in 1964, who arranged in each case for Jenny to meet the artists and have them personally hand sign their sketch in her scrap book, in may cases with a personal inscription and encouragement to continue with her art and sketches.

The Jenny Lee Collection was restored some years ago by the SA State Library who removed sticky tape preventing further discolouring and damage to the page prior to displaying the collection during a special Music Week at the State Library & Museum in Adelaide.

I personally met Jenny Lee at her residence in suburban Adelaide on both Monday 28 August 2023 and again on Saturday 2 September 2023 to verify authenticity, match dates and locations where the item was signed and everything matches perfectly. Jenny personally saw each member of the band sign this sketch when it was taken around to them together with Bob Francis.
