The Tin Drum by Günter Grass, First U.S. Edition Translated From The German

The item being offered is a copy of The Tin Drum by Günter Grass. This hardcover book sans dust jacket was published by Pantheon Books, 1961/1962, a first American edition. It was translated from the original German by Ralph Manheim. It was originally published in German under the title Die Blechtrommel. The book is bound in red cloth covered boards with gold and black text and black drum decoration on the spine, and black decoration on the cover. It measures approximately 6" x 8 1/2" and contains 592 pages including glossary. The book is in good condition with solid binding and clean pages. There is a small spot on the front board and the rear board. There is light sunning to the spine.
