Antique Japanese Bento Lunch Paper Mache lacquer Chinese wedding box hand painte

This is a very old estate item The six sided layered box is hand made and hand painted. It is Paper mache', black lacquer and hand painted in Reds, golds greens and blue. There are several areas where there is chips to the lacquer (please see photos). The handle has a raised portion where the lacquer is coming up. This is also included in the photos. The box measures 7 1/4" up to the top of the handle it is also 7 1/4" across each compartment is 1 1/2" tall. This is a Beautiful, Antique, Estate piece.
