Magnificent Matched pair of Chinese Antique Rose Medallion large lamps /vases both with heavy original early French Gilded bronze Ormolu mounts dating to the same period and which are a very close match. The vases are circa 1840-50 and from the Canton region.

On the left hand side lamp a hole was drilled to the base for an earlier light fitting and at some time later filled. The current light fittings do not require the vase to be drilled so it required they can easily be converted back to a vase.
This  left hand side vase has been professionally restored in the past in more than one area and but the repairs are completely solid and aside from a hairline crack there are no obvious signs that the vase has ever been repaired on the exterior of the vase that I can see. The second (Right side) lamp has had a very small restoration in one area to the top rim but is under the light fittings and anyway almost invisible. Used as lamps the repairs are not at all visible on either lamp but I want to point this out so there are no misunderstandings of the condition. The item 's pricing takes in to account these repairs.

These are a very large, imposing and highly decorative pair of lamps with historic value which are not easily found these days.
