Magnificent and imposing Longcase Clock in Burr Walnut signed Paulus Bramer (1696 -1770) Amsteldam (Old spelling of Amsterdam). This clock was actually produced by the famous German manufacturer Winterhalder and Hofmeier a hundred or so years later than Paulus Bramer. The company was founded in 1810 in Titisee-Neustadt Germany and was one of the most famous German clockmakers of the 19th Century and early 20th Century

The clock is 300cm tall in the 18th Century Dutch style and built to the highest standards. 

The case is Veneered Burr Walnut ap[plied to an oak body. The clock face shows the moon phases and is polished brass with a silvered dial engraved. The moon phase is hand painted enamel decoration with two moon faces following the 28.5 day moon cycle. The clock chimes on a bell hourly and is an 8 day movement. The pendulum and weights are brass
