This is an original movie still photograph from JANE EYRE, a 1943 American film adaptation of Charlotte Brontë's 1847 novel. It was directed by Robert Stevenson, starring Orson Welles with Joan Fontaine playing the title character. Supporting roles are played by Margaret O'Brien, Peggy Ann Garner (as young Jane Eyre), John Sutton, Sara Allgood, Henry Daniell, and Agnes Moorehead. Elizabeth Taylor also appears in the film.

The screenplay was written by John Houseman, Aldous Huxley, and director Robert Stevenson. The musical score was composed and conducted by Bernard Herrmann, and the cinematography was by George Barnes.

The photo has numerous scattered stain spots, mostly noticeable at an angle. The photo has scotch tape and pin holes in all the corners, borders only. There is a Statens Filmcensur 1949-1950 blind stamp in the lower right corner and upper right corner. The borders have been trimmed to 7.75 by 9.75 inches.
