Description: Source unknown, to be determined. Unique.

Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Emile Oscar Guillaume' after own design. Emile Oscar Guillaume (1867-1942) was a French sculptor, born in Paris. He expressed the idea of Peace in several of his sculptures.

Subject: Antique drawing, titled: 'Le enchere insufficante' - ('Insufficient bid'). A Jack of Hearts kneels and offers his heart to the Queen of Clubs who is seated on the lap of the King of Spades. Beside them an open vault in which numerous moneybags are adorned with the Spades symbol.

Condition: Excellent, given age. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Size (in cm): The overall size is ca. 49.5 x 32 cm. The image size is ca. 35 x 25 cm.
Size (in inch): The overall size is ca. 19.5 x 12.6 inch. The image size is ca. 13.8 x 9.8 inch.

Medium: Pen and ink, with watercolour colouring, on wove paper.
