The drive comes fully set-up with a fresh install of Windows 7 and all updates as well as some essential software installed to get you going.

No technical knowledge is required. You will need to boot from a CD and make a few clicks but instructions are included. Drivers will be automatically installed when connected to the internet but in some cases the wireless/ethernet drivers may need to be manually installed first.

The drive comes fully set-up with a fresh install of Windows with all the latest updates as well as some essential software:

  • Avast Antivirus
  • LibreOffice - a Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) alternative, which can open and save MS Office file types
  • Mozilla Firefox web browser + ad blocker
  • VLC Media Player - play downloaded videos
  • 7-Zip - create, open, and extract compressed archives
  • Software manager which has a catalogue of over 300 popular programs to quickly and easily install from, and automatically keeps them up-to-date

All the software is personally recommended as it's what I use myself. 

Activating Windows

This is a genuine version of Windows - not a pirated "pre-activated" one. Activation is required.

I sometimes have genuine, physical keys/CoAs available which can be purchased with the drive. Send me a message.

You will need to enter your 25-digit license key which found on the Windows COA sticker. This is usually on the case for desktops, and on the base or under the battery for laptops, and in the following format: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX.

What drive will I receive?

The brand and model will vary depending on stock but will be from one of the big name manufacturers.

Warranty

Drives have been thoroughly tested using multiple diagnostic programs to ensure they are in perfect working order, and inlcude a 90 day RTB warranty. If there are any hardware issues in that time it can be returned for a replacement.

Delivery

Drives are securely packed and posted within 1 working day (usually the same day if ordered before 4pm), using Royal Mail. 1st class is available at checkout.
