1.Charging for my devices?
The USB 3.0 data ports are intended for data transfer only. They provide insufficient power output for charging.

3.Why does it keep disconnecting when I connect the hard drive to the hub
When using high power devices such as SSDs, a 5V/3A charging port needs to be connected to the power supply to provide additional power to the HUB.
4.Will this work with USB 2.0 connection on laptop?
It is backward compatible, but the transmission speed also depends on the input interface, if you connect a laptop with USB2.0 input interface, the HUB transmission can only reach the speed of USB2.0.
