A very attractive Blue Glass Water Jug With 5 Glasses that would grace any table.

The glass contains uranium but only lights up faintly under uv light but you can detect a reaction to confirm uranium content. I have tried to show this reaction in the photos but with limited success. As a glass collector myself (see my other items for sale) finding a blue glass item with uranium content is rare).

I mention the content of uranium as it helps us to date the time of manufacture namely before World War Two when the common practice was that manufacturers added uranium to help the glass sparkle in sunlight. We now know however that this practice was ended at the beginning of WW2 when all uranium was diverted to the war effort.
