Description

This is a tufacast necklace from Jock Favour. A pendant that imitates the human design found in old rock paintings is at the top. The head part is made of water web kingman turquoise and jet. Coin silver tufa cast, chisel work, many small scratches reminiscent of aging, and deep brushes express a vintage texture. The leather is also vintage-processed.
The human with the tail is often found in old petroglyphs of Anasazi and Pueblo, and is a mysterious motif that has been interpreted in various ways, such as the theory of aliens, which represent beastmen, whose ancestors were believed to be lizards.

Jock Favour
Jock Favour, a white artist of Anglo-Saxon descent, not Indian. With three generations of deep involvement in Indian jewelry and the culture of the American Southwest, he creates jewellery that perfectly replicates the original methods of Indian jewelry that were introduced in the 1800s. Even at the local trading post, he is recognized as the only white artist among Indian jewelry. All the silver is made from ingot silver, and all the stones are hand-cut, and at first glance it is hard to tell that it is a completely new work.

Kingman
Turquoise from Kingman, Arizona. It is still open as a copper mine, and it is still a very famous mine with a large amount of mining. It is characterized by a light blue ~ blue with a black matrix, but most of them are often stabilized because the color changes easily, and natural ones are becoming rare. Those that contain pyrite, an iron compound, and have a deep blue color or a spider web that exudes evenly are particularly high-grade.
In addition, those mined in the Ithaca Peak area of Kingman are of very high grade and have become popular items for collectors. In addition, it seems that Kingman is sometimes dug from the nearby Turquoise Mountain tunnel, and you can see something very similar to Turquoise Mountain that contains a white ~ brown matrix that seeps out from the inside.
