This is an interesting antique Hand Painted piece of LIMOGES porcelain identified as a Divided SEAFOOD DISH - an oblong shaped piece with two sections - one larger than the other - and a handle at one end. (See page 327 - Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoge Porcelain - Third Edition - by Mary Frank Gaston).
This piece features a large fish jumping blue waves with colorful sealife below - the smaller section is decorated with oysters, seaweed and other colorful sea creatures - both sections have raised white enamel accents - the scalloped edge is trimmed in gold.
It is signed by the artist: RIORDON.
Marked: in green - T&V (in a rectangle) / Limoges / France / Depose, and the artist name again - 'Riordon' - written in brown lettering.
T&V = Tressemann & Vogt - Mark #8 - used from 1907-1919.
Measurements: 10.25" long, 6" wide (larger section), 5.75" wide (smaller section)
