The 2TB Starck Desktop Hard Drive from LaCie is a USB 2.0 desktop hard drive with a design by world-famous designer Philippe Starck. Starck's first collaboration with LaCie, the groundbreaking line of "Toaster" hard drives, made waves 15 years ago. This new design houses the drive in a durable 3mm aluminum enclosure, which is both durable and efficient in dissipating heat.

The drive's face is a touch-sensitive surface which can be customized to open any application that you choose. You'll be able to configure it to recognize a short tap or a long touch, giving it dual functionality. The facade also features the Starck signature LED which projects the designer's signature onto your desktop.

Backup software is included, making it easy to protect critical data. The drive is compatible with Windows and Mac systems, without the need for any sort of driver installation: simply plug and play. It features a standard USB 2.0 interface with the LaCie USB Boost system for enhanced performance.
