This is part of lure making history. Old stuff from what could be considered a time capsule.


These came from Sam Griffins workshop.

These are Smithwick looking bodies.

Marked K-9 and marked with try color number.

They do have paint overspray and some drips on them.

They also look and most probably are Ol’ Ben lure bodies.


Possible part of history.

Sam Griffin might have helped Ol’ Ben’s and Smithwick paint lures for their production. After the Smithwick facility had a fire that stopped production at that location for a while.

I also heard that Sam Griffin admired Ol’ Ben Lures and might have purchased part of the rights to produce the lures.

Sam Griffin also produced lures for Luhr Jensen and maybe Smithwick and possibly Sugarwood lures.

These might have also been Sam Griffin original baits.

Someone might have more accurate details of the history but these were in Sam Griffins workshop for a number of years.
