This is a unique Victorian era collaboration of a US silver maker and an English potter who came together to make this delightful antique CONDIMENT SET.
The stand is a footed Oriental style handled FAN from ROGERS & Bro. - decorated with etched flowers and a rope bow - Triple Silverplate. There are 3 recessed areas to hold the ceramic pieces - 2 round & 1 square - seems to have been made for these specific ceramic pieces - they fit perfectly!
The 3 Hand Painted Staffordshire ceramic pieces - a tall Pump shaped Pepper Pot, a Mustard Pot with notched lid, and an Open Salt - are decorated with rust colored blossoms and brown branches - accented with gold. These were made by EJD Bodley - Burslem, Staffordshire (1875-1892).
