• What are Enterade’s origins?

Enterade’s technology originated from a 40 million dollar NASA grant to protect astronauts from the adverse effects of radiation during long duration space flights. Mission accomplished, thanks to years of pioneering science by a dedicated team of world class oncologists and gastroenterologists.

• How is Enterade different from electrolyte enhanced hydration beverages?

While studies conducted by the United States Army, Penn State University, and Sonoma State concluded that Enterade is more hydrating than sports drinks, oral rehydration solutions, and water, Enterade is more than just a hydration drink. Enterade was formulated specifically for patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation to help repair the gut from the damage caused by these treatments. While chemo and radiation target rapidly dividing cancer cells, they also target the healthy, non-cancerous cells that line the intestines called the villi. When the villi are destroyed, the ability to absorb nutrients is compromised. Also, gaps form in the protective barrier, allowing harmful toxins and bacteria to enter the bloodstream. • How does Enterade help repair the gut?

Enterade’s parent company, Entrinsic Bioscience, was the first to discover that novel combinations of amino acids modulate epithelial transmembrane proteins via cell signaling to help address diseases. Enterade is formulated with a patented, proprietary concentration of five plant-based amino acids: L-aspartic acid, L-valine, L-serine, L-threonine, and L-tyrosine. When used in combination, these amino acids have been clinically proven to regrow the intestinal villi and close the protective barrier (think “leaky gut syndrome”) to promote increased nutrient absorption and weight maintenance as well as help reduce diarrhea, nausea, dehydration, fatigue, and malaise.

• What are the directions for use?

For best results, Enterade should be taken on an empty stomach to maintain the integrity of the amino acid formula. Drink one 8oz. bottle two times per day at least 30 minutes before or 60 minutes after consuming food. Do not mix enterade with any other food or drinks. Best chilled or poured over ice.

Enterade was formulated to be taken the week leading up to treatment, throughout the course of treatment, and post treatment (while symptoms last). Most people experience an improvement in symptoms after 3 to 4 days of use, and significant improvement in symptoms after 7 days of continued use.
