How often are dogs wormed?/ What should be the deworming schedule?

*A puppy must be first given the deworming dose at 3 weeks of age.

*In small and Medium breeds- From 6 months of age to 12 months of age, it is suggested to deworm your puppy every 2 months.

*In Large and Giant Breeds– From 6 months of age to 18 months of age, it is suggested to deworm your puppy every 2 months.

Because worms are so common in puppies, vets recommend de-worming them for the first time when they're 2 to 3 weeks old. Worms can pass from mother to baby before birth or soon after, through their milk. It will take more than one dose. The first round kills the worms that are there at the time. It is recommended that your puppy or kitten is dewormed every 2 weeks until they reach 3 months of age. Puppies and kittens are usually born with parasites passed on from mom (even if mom is dewormed) before they are born.

It is recommended to consult with a healthcare professional or veterinarian for guidance on the appropriate use of dewormer syrups in specific situations.

Effective Elimination of Worms

* Dewormer tablets are primarily used to treat and eliminate worm infestations in the gastrointestinal tract. They can target various types of worms, such as roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and tapeworms. By eradicating these parasites, dewormers help restore the health and well-being of the affected individual or animal. Worm infestations can cause digestive problems, including diarrhea, abdominal pain, and poor nutrient absorption.

Improves Digestive Health

* Worm infestations can cause digestive problems, including diarrhea, abdominal pain, and poor nutrient absorption. By effectively eliminating worms, dewormer tablets can help improve digestive health and alleviate associated symptoms. Regular deworming is recommended for dogs throughout their lives, as they can be exposed to worms through various sources like contaminated soil, infected fleas, or ingestion of infected prey.
