Lactobacillus acidophilus is a bacteria found in the stomach and intestines. Lactobacillus acidophilus is also one of the main friendly bacteria's and is found in many dairy products, such as yoghurt. The bacteria ferment at an optimal pH of 5.0 and develops best at temperatures of 37°c. The bacteria was given its name due to its role in breaking down sugar in milk (lactose) into lactic acid.
Bacteria is managed in CFUs (Colony Forming Units). Our tablets contain 550 million CFUs per tablet, the British cited value. Please be aware that some companies may use the American cited value of 0.5 billion CFUs per tablet.
Our tablets are provided in a very manageable size of 6mm, weighing just 150mg therefore easy to swallow. Please be aware that taking this tablet with a hot drink will destroy the live bacteria and should therefore only be taken with cold drinks.
