"I'm aware that it might sound confusing, but the dollar coins from 1969 were not intended to be made of  90% silver. However, strangely enough, the one I have is indeed silver and i know is more than 40%. You can confirm this by looking at the pictures im includingplenty and we shouldbe able to see some copper somewhere but i dont. Unfortunately weight doesn't help alot. On a related note, I also sell silver jewelry, so I'm familiar with what silver looks like. This coin appears to be silver, even though it shouldn't be, given that the standard for 1969 coins was not 90% silver." Be aware that this could be a good coin to send to a professional pcgs or mgc.
