Absolutely stunning pair of massive Chinese Guangcai chargers with their original hardwood lacquered stands. Each one 62cm in Diameter excluding stands. An absolute designers dream for creating a focal centrepiece for a room. Rare and unusual items. It is not often that you find such imp[ressive dishes of this size and in good condition.
Wonderful decoration and strong gilding especially on the edges of the dishes.
I have seen similar (smaller) items listed as late 19th century. I am not sure of the age but if I had to guess I would say 1920's based on the design and overall feel of the dishes and stands.
I have also seen them listed as Japanese due to the "Imari" pattern but I am convinced these are Chinese Export wares and from the Guangcai region. This is very much an enamelled decoration for which this region has been famous.
As I said the dishes are huge ( see photos for a size comparison) and each dish weighs 10.1 kilos!! without the stands. Shipping will require very careful packaging.

Item will be extremely well packed Shipping by Courier in the UK mainland will be around £85. International shipping would be best in two packages to reduce the overall weight below 30 kilos which would make it much more reasonable to ship.
