Description - Wonderful Austrian or French good gauge solid silver box of rectangular form with hinged lid and thumb piece

lid has fine black enamelling with a decorative silver and marcasite Art Deco motif 

the rest of the box embellished with engine turned decoration

bright silver-gilt (gold washed) interior

Hallmarked with the triangle Birmingham import control mark for 925/ 1000 (or above) silver fineness, the Birmigham date letter "E" for the year 1929 and the maker/ importer's mark (rubbed)

Condition - In excellent condition, no dents, dings, splits holes or repairs, 

Enamel free from chips, crack or nasty scratches, there are few minor surface scratched to which are hard to notice

the hinge is strong and closing the lid securely

interior silver-gilt rich, bright with good sheen no thinning or loss
