Description - Exquisite late 19th century Victorian solid silver vesta case of rectangular curved form with spring loaded hinged lid, thumb piece, suspension loop and match striker

both sides embellished with fine hand engraved ivy leaf decoration and with a cartouche with the initials possibly "WLM", the sides have further decoration

rich silver-gilt (gold washed) interior.

Fully hallmarked with the anchor for Birmingham assay, lion passant indicating 925 grade solid sterling silver, date letter "v" for the year 1895, the maker's mark "P & S" which is E V Pledge & Son.

Condition - In excellent condition.
