This is a weatherproof balun with a 4:1 ratio, it’s purpose:
1. transforms terminals of an antenna, coupler or twin-lead's 300 ohm characteristic impedance to match the 75 ohm coaxial cable (Male F connector) impedance;
2. transforms the balanced, symmetric transmission line to the unbalanced coax input.

It can be used to connect UHF connector 300 Ω (two screws on the back of old TV) or off air antenna 300 Ω connector to coaxial F connector 75 Ω

With this adapter, you can make your own antenna to suit HD TV UHF VHF FM, widely work with Radio, AV Receiver, TV Antenna, and Mini system: Sangean Cambridge Audio One Pure Evoke Tivoli Audio Demon Roberts Sony Marantz Yamaha Hitachi HiFi DAB Radio, etc.
