Uniquely rare USSR camera: "Iskra-2" Model-1 Issue-2. Only 6,000 were produced.

Functionality: the objective and viewfinder lenses are clean, the visibility of the viewfinder and rangefinder is good - without distortion, focusing and aperture operation is smooth and pleasant. The diaphragm blades are dry and free of excess lubrication. The shutter handles the entire range of shutter speeds perfectly. The shutter button on the tower does not transmit pressure to the release lever near the lens (easy service is needed). The exposure meter already reacts very poorly to light due to age.

WARNING

The Iskra-2 camera is a precise and complex mechanism. Before using the device, carefully study the handling and operating procedure according to this description.

1. The shutter release and frame counter do not operate when there is no film.

2. The camera can only be closed after setting the lens to infinity.

3. Turn on the self-timer only after cocking the shutter.

4. Do not set the green numbers on the shutter speed scale against the index to avoid damage to the shutter.

5. The photocell should be protected from prolonged exposure to direct light to avoid fatigue (temporary instability of readings).

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CAMERA

The Iskra-2 camera is a folding film camera with an image format of 6x6 cm, with a four-lens lens and a central shutter.

The Industar-58 lens is an anastigmat with coated optics, a focal length of 75 mm and an aperture ratio of 1: 3.5. The iris diaphragm changes the relative opening on a scale: 3.5; 4; 5.6; 8; eleven; 16; 22. The lens produces a sharp image and provides good quality images in both black and white and color.

Focusing the lens is achieved by moving the entire lens (including the shutter) using a threaded bushing.

The device is equipped with a rangefinder (base 55 mm, viewfinder magnification 0.74x), which allows precise focusing of the lens.

The central shutter has a wide range of shutter speeds with a scale: 1; 1/2; 1/4; 1/8; 1/15; 1/30; 1/60; 1/125; 1/250; 1/500 sec, and also allows you to shoot with a slow shutter speed of "B". The shutter is equipped with a self-timer and contacts for turning on the flash lamp.

The built-in photoelectric exposure meter with an exposure number scale provides accurate determination of exposure (aperture and shutter speed). The shutter has a mechanical connection between setting shutter speeds and apertures, allowing you to work using the exposure scale.

On the camera body there is a tripod nut with a standard 3/8-inch thread that allows you to mount the camera on a tripod.

The camera has ears for a neck strap. The camera is comfortable to carry and comes with a high-quality leather case with metal trim. They can be used to shoot handheld and on a tripod without removing the camera from the case.

The weight of the camera without a case is 925 g.

The overall dimensions of the camera in the folded position are 152x110x48 mm, with the front cover open - 152x110x98 mm.
