A Victorian era, art glass SUGAR SHAKER or Muffineer in a pattern sometimes called "Cabin in the Snow" - decorated white opaline glass by the Smith Brothers, circa 1880's.
This shaker features a log cabin with snow on its roof, a few trees and mountains in the background - done in shades of rust, browns and grey tones. The shape is tapered, wider at the base , with a ring neck - finished with a 2 piece metal shaker top pierced with a star pattern.
Unsigned - possibly made by the Mt. Washington Glass Co. or the Smith Brothers, but the decoration has been attributed to the Smith Bros.
Measurements: 5.25" tall, 2.5" wide base, 2" wide top
