USS Raleigh CL-7 United States Navy Ship memorial cover honoring
Pearl Harbor 1941 Ships. This 555' long Omaha Class light cruiser,
built in Quincy, MA was commissioned in 1924. On December 7, 1941 she was moored in the harbor
and fired on the enemy planes. She was damaged by an enemy torpedo in the attack and after repairs
joined the US forces escorting convoys.
This proud ship went on to earn 3 WW II Battle Stars in the Pacific Theater. She was sold
for scrap metal in 1946.
