Ten-a-Tuner PLUS for Icom
Activate the 'tune' feature in your Icom
by Bob W2ENY

This new unit works with Icom's having an antenna tuner jack on the rear of the radio.  Like my original Ten-a-Tuner, this device simply plugs into the tuner jack and your radio will think there's an Icom antenna tuner attached. This activates the 'tuner' button on the front panel of the 706, 7300, 7200, 7100, 7000, 7600, 7610, 746, 756, PRO, PRO II, etc..

When the tune button is operated, the radio will transmit a 10 watt CW signal for approximately 12-14 seconds.
Some with the 7300 have experienced 8-10 second times, seems the 7300 has a different current draw on my device.

This low power signal minimizes risk and damage to your finals while you check match, swr or tune the antenna with your own external tuner.  This is most useful for tuning your amplifier and high power tuner at much lower power levels.

FYI, In someones infinite wisdom at Icom, they have disabled the internal SWR and RFout display in the 7000/7100, you will need an external wattmeter.

The adapter/interface is small and compact. This is a first class product, using a properly fit thick high quality vinyl boot (no cheap heat shrink tubing). High temperature adhesive is used to pot the components, sealing out moisture and retaining the boot. This boot does not slip off. There is no PC board, or klunky box hanging off the back of your radio. This is ideal for mobile and portable use as it's about the same size as the connector itself. The passive network used here is a long lasting streamline solution for your application.

As an FYI, there's been fake news about a resistor being needed for the IC-7300.  This module has that resistor.

Complete with application note.

Your ICOM radio has a low power TUNE feature,
Activate it today!

NOTE to ebay:  W2ENY is my brand, this is not a duplicate listing as it is the 'PLUS' version, although the picture looks the same, components inside are different, making this different from the standard one I have in another listing, which you see is priced differently.
