This humorous satire on the relationship between men and women was written in 1945. There are comments or essays in the front of the book (called character witnesses) by well-known celebrities of that time. These include Milton Berle, Dale Carnegie, Michael Todd, Ira Gershwin, Woody Herman, Sophie Tucker and more.

It's a fascinating glimpse into the world 78 years ago, when women and men were seen very differently than today.  The illustrations are stylized and very well done. It's a snapshot of a time gone by, albeit a tongue-in-cheek commentary on men living with women.
