1940's High School Yearbook with great photographs and text, including students and faculty, activities and sports, humor, classmate inscriptions, photos of the school and surrounding, and local advertisement. Seniors each get individual photographs with list of clubs and accomplishments. Included in the senior class is future intellect and author and honored intellectual Susan Sontag. Also present are pictures of junior Martin Milner who appears in 3 sports photos. Great photos and period design. 

Susan Sontag was an American writer, filmmaker, philosopher, teacher, and political activist who wrote essays, and published novels. Her best-known works include On Photography, Against Interpretation, Styles of Radical Will, The Way We Live Now, Illness as Metaphor, Regarding the Pain of Others, The Volcano Lover, and In America. Other works include The Benefactor, Death Kit, Under the Sign of Saturn, Where the Stress Falls, AIDS and its Metaphors; Films Duet for Cannibals, Promised Lands, and other works. Sontag was active in writing and speaking about, and travelling to, areas of conflict, including during the Vietnam War and the Siege of Sarajevo. She wrote extensively about photography, culture and media, AIDS,  human rights, and communism and leftist ideology. She has won many awards and honors and has been described as one of the most influential critical thinkers of the 20th century. 

Martin Milner was an American actor and radio host. He is best known for his performances on two television series: Route 66which aired on CBS from 1960 to 1964, and Adam-12, which aired on NBC from 1968 to 1975. He also appeared in multiple episodes of the television shows Dragnet and Swiss Family Robinson, among others, and was in films including Dial M for Murder, Mister Roberts, Gunfight at the O.K. Corral, Sweet Smell of Success, Marjorie Morningstar, Sex Kittens Go to College, and others. 

Very Good condition issue with tight binding and text and clean pages, with no must or mildew or missing pieces, with mild shelf wear. Solid. 

Great rarity giving a look at the early life and times of the noted sci-fi author. Just waiting for a good home.
