In good condition, a large antique wood engraving entitled "Out in the snow" made and signed in plate by English artist Alfred Pearse (1855-1933). The picture was published as a supplement to the Xmas edition of The Boy's Own Paper in 1884. The size of the picture is 24.5 cm x 37.5 cm with margins of 2.0 cm. Note that this picture was originally folded along a vertical axis and will be posted in its original folded state. Alfred Pearse was an English artist, author, campaigner, and inventor. When not providing illustrations for The Boy's Own Paper and the Manchester Guardian, he was an active campaigner for women's suffrage and designed posters for the movement. He was also a war artist in World War I.
