Top of the line features, such as Mother of Pearl block inlays on fretboard; MoP Guild "crown" inlay on headstock; chrome Harp-shaped trapeze tailpiece with tune-o-matic type bridge; bound body and neck. The pick guard is fairly rare, as well. From what I was told by a collector, this guitar is a re-issue of a 1968 model recreated in 1972. I purchased this guitar in 1980 from the original owner.
The Bluesbird model has a chambered body, which makes it lighter than a solid body and also enhances the tone both acoustically and when plugged-in. Pickups are original as are the Tuning keys, which are similar to Grovers but with Guild branding. They are sealed tuners.
The frets on this guitar are flat-top "Rock and Roll" frets. So it is super-fast and easy on the fingers. Also, since they're not crowned, there is very little fret wear. It plays like a dream!
