Ursprünglich wurde es in einer limitierten Auflage unter dem Namen 'The Wailers' veröffentlicht.
Von der Kritik wurde das Album unter anderem auf Platz 126 der 500 größten Alben aller Zeiten des
Rolling Stone gelistet und gilt als eines der besten Reggae-Alben aller Zeiten.
Im April 2023 feierte 'Catch A Fire' sein 50-jähriges Bestehen.
Das 3LP+12'-Vinylpaket besteht aus dem Studioalbum, Live at The Paris Theatre London, das bisher
nur als Bootleg erhältlich war und nun zum ersten Mal offiziell veröffentlicht wird, Alt-, erweiterte und
instrumentale jamaikanische Versionen der Albumtitel 'Slave Driver', '400 Years No More Trouble' und
'Stop That Train'.
Die LP- und CD-Pakete enthalten Bücher mit klassischen Bildern von Bob aus seinen Fotoshootings mit
Adrian Boot, Arthur Gorson, der Bob zwei Wochen lang in Jamaika fotografierte.
