(transl.: Images of the first century of Jesuits presented by the German-Netherlands Province of said Society.), by Jean Bollandus ao., published by Plantijn/Plantin, Antwerp, 1640. This work was translated by Laurentius Uwens from the latin ed., published in the same year: 'Imago primi saeculi societatis Iesu ...' The famous centennial publication of the Low Countries Jesuits, containing beautiful emblematic engravings.

It shows: Noah's ark during the deluge, sailing between the roofs of a village. It signifies that adversity lifts the Society of Jesus higher. This emblem is set within an ornamental border.
