Description

This is the EG-1200, part of the Greco Project series that was produced for a short period in the late 70's!

The elaborate varnished violin finish gives it a unique texture. Maple top with pancake structure mahogany back! Maple 3 piece neck!

The fingerboard is often made of striped ebony, but this one is made of rosewood.

The PU is equipped with SUPER70 (U4000), which seems to be the original, and has the original Grover peg!

Although it is a one-owner item, the electrical system has been modified/maintained to allow switching between ham and single mode,

making it highly practical. Although the finish is easily damaged,

it is in good condition with relatively few scratches! As one of the flagship models of the Golden Age of Japanese Vintage,

it is extremely rare and yet has a unique appeal. Hard case is non-genuine.

■postscript

The EGF1800 exists in Greco's catalog until 1980 and 1981, but from 1982 the model number specification will change to EG60-150. The only difference in appearance is the pickup cover, which is still attached to the 1981 catalog. This assumes that the pickup cover was removed to increase productivity and the price was lowered slightly.

This can be seen from the sentences in the book "Grasping luck" by Fujigen President Yokouchi at the time. For the first time, we created a special department for pick-ups.We clarified the profit and loss of each section and improved productivity.”

In other words, since 1982, I have stopped using pickup covers to increase productivity.

Since there was no evidence that the pickup cover was added later to the one I had in stock, I assume that it was manufactured in January or February 1982 with specifications before the catalog was released in 1982.

Also, for the same reason, the inside of the cavity is not painted black in models after 1982, but my inventory is black, so it is an old model.
