Likely dating to around the "turn of the century" all of this amazing work is hand tooled, pressed or hammered by a very talented unnamed artist.  My research tells me it may depict the Prophet Muhammad's successor and first amam Ali.  I do not read Islamic or Arabic language so can't be sure. The most amazing design elements are the six beautiful birds that encircle him.

It has a good weight to it. There are spots of naturally occuring areas of surface oxidation and tarnish.  Measures just short of 11" diameter and there is a small piece of hardware soldered on for it to be hung on the wall with.  I have left the piece as found and have not cleaned it, so that you, the buyer, may clean it to your own preference.
