PowerBook 1.67 GHz

 Description

This is the best PowerBook you can get - it rocks the 1.67 GHz PowerPC 7447A CPU and a 17.0" widescreen display with the special high-res 1680x1050 panel. I upgraded it to 2GB RAM (the maximum) and put in a 120GB solid state drive.

Everything's working fine. The battery shouldn't be relied on because it's 18 years old, but OS X reports a 50-minute charge and 347 cycles. Screen is great, DVD drive is great.

The housing has a few minor scuffs and scrapes. A couple of the keyboard keys have light fading. The old gray rubber feet were missing, so I added new black ones.

I installed fresh, fully upgraded copies of OS X 10.4.11 "Tiger" and 10.5.7 "Leopard" on the two main partitions, and made smaller partitions to hold bootable images of the stock install discs. The Tiger side of things has a fully working Classic Mode setup with an OS 9 System Folder ready to go.

Shipping cost includes full insurance.

 About My Shop

You're looking at an independent, one-person operation. That's why I can take my time testing items and fixing them up. It's how I make sure you get what you need. I'm an oldschool ebay seller with fourteen years of experience, and I stand behind my listings.

Most of my items are secondhand finds. I rescue artifacts from the wild and pair them with people who'll love and take care of them. If you're searching for something you don't see here, let me know. I have a ton of sources.

 How To Pay

I accept payments through Paypal, including credit card payments. If you live in or around Toronto, I can also accept cash and make deliveries in person. If you have questions about alternative payment arrangements, feel free to message me.

 Shipping

The shipping quotes listed are economy and middle-range shipping options. If you're interested in priority courier services, ask me for a custom quote.

I ship everywhere. If eBay's shipping calculator doesn't show a shipping rate for your country, message me and I'll get you one.

I pack very securely in thick cardboard containers, custom-built for each item. Anything even slightly delicate will be secured with shock-absorbent foam. If I'm shipping something that breaks easily, like glassware or a boombox, I'll double-box it with two ridiculously thick layers of padding.

 Insurance and Tracking

All shipping rates within Canada include full insurance and tracking. Outside Canada, all my shipping rates except Small Packet include full insurance and tracking. Small Packet is the cheapest economy rate - it lacks insurance and tracking options. Please keep this in mind.

 Returns

I'll cheerfully accept returns if I made a significant mistake in the item description. Otherwise, message me and we can discuss it. If you have any problem with your purchased item, please bring it up with me rather than posting negative or neutral feedback. Making you satisfied is the most important thing for me.
