Unusual and unidentified locally-made unit insignia for C Company, 52nd Infantry Regiment of the US Army. This unit was reflagged in 2015, having formerly been designated C Company (LRS), 3rd Battalion, 38th Cavalry Squadron. This unit was an airborne-qualified unit stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington although LRS units no longer exist in the Army. This may have been a "hooah" item privately authorized by the unit commander, or may have some other significance to the unit. It is in mint condition and measures 5 cm square. These were made by a local sew shop just outside JBLM.
