This is an antique, 19th century platform rocker that had previously included carpet upholstery.
The varnish and upholstery were not in great condition so they were removed. After removing the varnish I left the wood as-is and waxed it.
I added the webbing across the back (easily removable if you don't like it) and made a seat cushion

The deconstructed look fits in with a modern farmhouse or cottage style home, it's also sturdy and safe. Could easily go on a porch or in a nursery. 

Measurements are approximately 43" tall, 22" across and 26" deep
